Obituary

Peter J. Hardt, 88 years old, of Juneau, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Clearview Nursing Home in Juneau, WI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February, 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon, with the Rev. Father Mike Petri celebrating the mass. A visitation will take place on Monday, February 12th from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Parish. A burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Juneau, with graveside military rites conducted by the Juneau American Legion Post #15.

Peter was born to Paul M. and Frances (Snow) Hardt on January 14, 1930 in DeKalb, IL. He was united in marriage to Charlene M. Van Kirk on January 10, 1953 in Huntley, IL. Peter was employed by the Dodge County Highway Department as a supervisor. He also was a member of the Juneau EMT's.

Peter was a member of Sacred Heart Parish in Horicon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as well as a member of the Juneau American Legion. Peter was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.

Peter is survived by his children: Mitchell (Susan M.) Hardt of Nokomis, FL, Pamela (Michael) Buske of Juneau, Mary Edwards of Juneau, Susan (Stuart) Ludtke of Juneau, and Steven (Lauri) Hardt of Bradenton, FL; his sister Rosemary (William) Becker of Chrystal Lake, IL; his grandchildren: Tricia (Jesse) Smith, Chris Hardt, Angela Hardt, Jeremy Buske, Jason (Sarah) Buske, Jennifer (Aaron) Perkins, Leah Schneiter, Tayla (Cody) Braemer, Joseph (Amber) Ludtke, Anthony (Kristen) Ludtke, Zachery (fiancé Sam Schmalzer) Ludtke, and Kelsey Hardt; 13 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Peter is preceded in death by: his parents, his wife Charlene in 1995, 2 grandsons Timothy and David, his brothers- Paul Jr. and John; and his sister Betty.

Memorials may be directed to the Veteran's Program at Clearview.
